This has been a great family boat sailed only up and down the coast of Maine
(short seasons*). We meant to keep this boat for a longtime, so have added many
new upgrades/enhancements over the last few years along with a long list of
standard features (including refrigeration and heat): 3 new batteries, new high
output alternator, new full battened main sail, all running rigging in need of
replacement has been done, new cabin cushions (never used/Sunbrella fabric), new

coats of barrier paint was applied in 2004. Edson pedestal removed, sandblasted
and recoated with Interlux high-performance enamel coating in 2007. Bilge
plywood removed and replaced with 4 plys of woven roving and epoxy in 2005.
Engine overhaulled in 2005, sandblasted and repainted. Oil pan replaced, new
injectors, gaskets, hoses. Radial arm drive on rudder replaced with new steering
chain, steering cable needle bearings and conduit 2007. Exhaust hose replaced
2007. Exterior teak in fabulous condition. Hull is compounded and waxed and is
very clean. 2 Fortress Anchors with chain & rode, Electric and manual
bilge pumps, Docking lines and fenders, 30 Amp shore cable, 2 Boat hooks, fire

Cover is in two sections, bow and stern. Stern section rests over the
boom. Bow section rests on a simple wooden support which is to be
constructed by the owner (not included). Cover laces together at the mast.
The cover goes over the stanchions, and covers the gel coat portion of the
topsides completely. Cover laces underneath boat for a tight fit.
Sorry, I do not have a picture of the cover on the boat.
Condition: Almost like new. Used one mild winter from December

1981 Catalina 30 #2143, POOKA, Jamestown, RI,
POOKA: Refitted Catalina 30, purchased in 2004. Significant
upgrades include a new Haarstick full batten main, lazy jacks, new Sunbrella
cushions, new stern rail seats, new lowers, new Hurth transmission, and a new
Raymarine ST4000+ MK II wheel autopilot. ST 4000+ with
auto-tach makes the Pooka ST4000+ an
easy boat for single handed sailing. Electrical panel has been
upgraded with circuit breakers and reverse polarity detectors. The hull is
barrier coated with 5 coats of Interlux 2000 epoxy paint and 3 coats of Micron
CSC ablating bottom paint. Shrouds, stanchions, bow and stern rails, and
mast step have been rebedded; all of the windows have been reinstalled with new
seals. Many other improvements and additions too numerous to mention.
